Hmm... Was talking to Lian yesterday.. This thought came to my mind.. (No.. we din quarrel or fight..) Talking about some other things in life when this thought came up. Remeber she mentioned an imagery... From a distance a person often look better.. Up close you see all the wrinkles... pimples.. That sounds so true... So for all ladies... Always stand at a distance from the person you're trying to impress k.. Heee....
Think perhaps that's why marriage kindda sour and turn bland over time... Children cease being a joy to parents.. Perhaps that why there's lots of complains about the people around us...
Often these contempt in familiarity makes it hard for the closest people to see the changes we've made for the better.. Perhaps that's why we no longer see the goodness in the people close to us after some time... Like parents often have things to complain about their children, husbands about wives and vs...
Then why do we want to build close relationship? Hmm... Why become familiar with people around us..? Why does God create us to be social creatures? Hmm....
My guess... perhaps that is the only way we'll be constantly be pushed to be more Christ-like. Perhaps, it draws us to Him.. Cause only He does not hold people He is familiar with in contempt at all and in all times... Perhaps it's to show us our sinful state that we may know how fallen we are and do something about it...
I guess there must be a zillion reasons.. But wanna say to everyone out there... Don't forget to see the good in the familiar people in your life and appreciate them. And remember every of these relationships takes work, sacrifice and all... Dun forget to give and bless.
